Dr. Daniel DollDR. DANIEL DOLL

Associate Professor
Ph.D., Purdue University, 1984

Dan Doll received his BA in English from the University of Illinois and his MA and PhD from Purdue University. He has taught at UNO since 1985, specializing in Eighteenth Century British literature but along the way teaching a wide variety of composition and literature courses, ranging from novel as genre to baseball and literature. He has published on Swift, Johnson, and Eighteenth Century language theory, and more recently has been working with Eighteenth Century diaries and journals. His most recent publication, coedited with former UNO professor Jessica Munns, is Recording and Reordering: Essays on Seventeenth and Eighteenth Century Diaries and Journals.

He has also served two terms as Associate Chair of the English Department and a term as Undergraduate Coordinator.

His joys revolve around family, literature, and teaching; his sorrows revolve around the (mis)fortunes of the New Orleans Saints and the Chicago Cubs.
