DR. RONALD GARD Instructor Dr. Gard earned his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona, with specializations in contemporary American fiction, new economic criticism, and critical and literary theory. Concurrent with the Ph.D., he earned his J.D. from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. Dr. Gard's areas of research interest include contemporary subjectivity, cultural-materialist spatial theory, questions of epistemology/ontology, and economic transformations of culture, particularly as brought to bear on works of fiction, including print, film, and television. He also likes non-brand-name kids breakfast cereals. He is new to New Orleans, having arrived from other parts in the summer of 2007, and is thrilled to have settled in this city.
