Retained Instructor, Upon receiving his B.A. in English and Philosophy from Bucknell University, Daniel Gonzalez headed south down the Mississippi. He received his M.F.A. in Fiction from McNeese State University, then received his Ph.D. from LSU. His primary area of study is early modern British literature, but he has taught a variety of classes at a variety of schools, including McNeese, LSU, Tulane and UNO. He has been the recipient of a number of awards for writing, teaching, and service. His scholarly interests are in British literature (especially drama), and early modern culture (especially its representations of criminality). In his additional role as Coordinator of Technical Support, he keeps the department website and computers running, which often leads him to ponder a life of crime.
