Instructor, Elizabeth Pearce is a food writer, lecturer and curator. She has contributed to several food publications, most recently as a columnist in the food section of the New Orleans Times Picayune. She curated the first three exhibits of the Southern Food and Beverage Museum, slated to open in New Orleans in in 2008: "Toast of New Orleans: A Salute to the Beverages of the City"; "Tout de Sweet: All About Sugar," and Restaurant Restorative. She is a docent cook at the Hermann Grima House in the French Quarter, where she lectures on New Orleans dining and cooking of the nineteenth century and prepares dishes according to period traditions. She also teaches at the University of New Orleans. She is currently working on the permenant Southern and Louisiana exhibits for the opening of the museum. |
