DR. PATRICIA ROGER

Retained Instructor
Ph.D., Tulane, 1993

Patricia Roger has taught at UNO since 1994. She grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and received her B. A. from the University of New Mexico in 1973. She received her Ph.D. from Tulane University in 1993. Her area of specialization is nineteenth-century American Literature. Recently, she has focused her research on the literature of the westward movement during the nineteenth century. She has written on Nathaniel Hawthorne and nineteenth-century language theory and has just finished an essay on Caroline Kirkland’s books on her family’s move West in the 1830s.
