Lindsay Allen
Lindsay graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in '06 with a BFA in Dramatic Writing and a minor in Community-based Theater. Lindsay received the Generation Next Award and the Veneble Herndon Senior Award upon graduation for her screenplay. She worked in the film industry in New York before moving to New Orleans to pursue an MFA in Nonfiction Creative Writing. She loves teaching, yoga, riding her bike across the Brooklyn Bridge, dancing, reading, improv/comedy and, of course, writing. She’s excited to be a part of the UNO Writing Center. |

Katie Chosa
Katie got her BA from UNO where she is currently attempting to earn an MA in English Literature. Her hobbies include good food, her pets, books, strong coffee, making up stories about strangers, and looking up plane tickets on the internet. |
 |
Kimberly Clouse
Kimberly is an MFA Creative Writing Fiction student and is thrilled to be at UNO. She received her B.A. in Ed from Western Washington University and obtained her teaching certificate from Sonoma State University. Kimberly taught high school and community college for ten years, sold real estate for seven years, and then took a trek across the country in a 31' RV by herself, discovering America, before landing in New Orleans this summer. |

Shawn Dugas
Shawn graduated from Loyola University in 2008 with a BA in English Literature. He took a year off from school, but his nerdiness proved too strong, and he's pretty excited to be back in his comfort zone of papers and procrastination. In his spare time, he stands up in front of crowds and speaks with the intention of inducing laughter in said crowds. He consumes, nay, devours large quantities of film and TV, and he also likes to eat food, mostly Starburst Jellybeans. And, yes, sometimes, he even likes to read a book or two. |
 |
Megan Langhoff
An M.A. student in English Literature, Megan returned home to New Orleans after receiving her B.A. in English from Fordham University. For the past two years, she has worked on local political campaigns. Megan is an avid attendee of Finn McCool's Monday Night Pub Quiz in Mid-City. Her favorite meal of the day is breakfast. |

Sheila Madary
Sheila, originally from New York State, graduated from the University of Dallas with a B.A in English and Elementary Education. Between stints of teaching middle school, she studied Italian literature in Urbino, Italy on a Rotary Scholarship. In recent years, Sheila has enjoyed teaching Developmental English, Adult Basic Education, and GED prep classes in Houston and New Orleans. Sheila's post-Katrina adventure took her with her family to Freiburg, Germany for a year and to Bristol, England for two and a half years. She's anticipating more good times in the Crescent City and is thrilled to have the opportunity to finish her MA in English. Sheila is Mommy to three brilliant little girls. |

Carolyn Mikulencak
Carolyn has a BA in English from the University of Tulsa and an MA in Secondary English Education from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia. She is currently working on her MFA in fiction. Before becoming a full-time graduate student at UNO, she was a waitress, a mother, and an expatriate living in Amsterdam. Carolyn loves ginko trees, the lone freckle on the nape of her son’s neck, and almost any noise a bug can make at night. She dislikes mini-blinds and the dried stems that remain when all the grapes have been eaten. |
 |
Mary Bamburg
Mary is from Shreveport, LA, although she spent the last four years in Baton Rouge earning a BA in English from LSU. Her college experience so far has been bracketed by hurricanes; she's very grateful that UNO doesn't seem to have the same trend going. She is pursuing an MFA in poetry at UNO and enjoys reading pretty much everything she can get her hands on, especially sci-fi, fantasy, poetry, and magical realism. She also has eight siblings, so if she starts a story with, "One of my sisters....", don't ask her to elaborate.
